Solidago hispida is a North American perennial herb ranging from Saskatchewan to Newfoundland in Canada, south to Louisiana, and Georgia in the United States. This species grows on sandy and gravelly soils, in, fields, meadows, open woods, floodplain, and rocky outcrops; from sea level to > 1,000 m. It flowers from August through October.
